Black Opal Flower ring in wax by George Postgate,
Black opal flower ring in a finished wax, designed and carved by hand. The wax is finished and all that is needed is to remove the stones, sprue the wax invest and cast it in 18K gold.
I’ve only made this ring once before and the black opal that I used was so nice that I was spoiled for making the ring with an inferior stone. I recently purchased some exceptional black opals from Lightning Ridge Australia and this one was just right for the ring
Variations
This ring may be ordered different karats and colors of gold and with a stone of your choice, of course. It is made for a cabochon shaped stone but I have made flower rings that are similar for faceted stones as well. I can usually make the ring within 6 weeks of your ordering it.
