Highland deer gold pendant, a stag and doe graze among diamond flowers, in a woodland scene of gold. The buck sensing someone spying, rises up onto his hind legs to see who is watching.
This very special pendant, was designed and made by George Postgate to be a special gift from his brother John, to his wife Mary,for their 53rd wedding anniversary. Highland deer gold pendant, details:
The pendant was hand carved in wax. The deer are made of 18K and the woodland frame is made of 14K. This makes a
nice contrast between the deer and their surroundings. They appear to almost glow. The pendant is 1 5/8” in height by 1.”
Eleven small diamonds are set in the flowers that encircle the deer. The diamonds range in size from 2.6mm to 1.5mm. They
weigh approximately 0.30 cts and are G-H in color and are approximately Vs in clarity.
Designing the pendant:
I have wanted to make a deer scene like this for many years, but the time needed to make such a piece was more than I could afford. Getting to make it for my brother was a gift. The way that I make my jewelry, the way its been made for millennia. I make a wax model which is turned into gold, and then set with diamonds. Custom orders:
I won't make many of these pendants and I won't be able to make one for stock for some. You can special order one in time for Christmas. That's if it is ordered by October and we have time??
You may order this pendant in 14 K, 18 K, 22 K yellow gold and in 14 K rose, white and yellow gold. You can also choose your own stones. I will probably not make another two color pendant.
