Longtime Customers Unique Commissions
Longtime Customers Unique Commissions by Postgate Jewelers: Here are some of our favorite commissions from the past. Check out our posts to see the most recent.
Today is my birthday and like many my age it is not so much a celebration of me, as it is a time to be thankful for our customers who have made it possible for Suzan and me to make a living as jewelry artists. We have a core of longtime customers who have formed the heart of our business and who have given us the most challenging and rewarding commissions that we could have imagined.
One of these longtime customers got in touch today and wished me happy birthday. I was trying to think of what to say to all of you and his email gave me the inspiration to put this post out. The following is from his email:
"How fondly Pam and I remember stopping by your jewelry display out near Pier 43 area. Pam who does not shop for much of anything stopped and was intrigued a unicorn ring even to point it out to me. No end of my suggesting she buy it would sway her frugal upbringing. Two years later I stopped by a new location to buy the ring for an anniversary present. Pam still glows when she wears any one of your beautiful pieces. However what will always stand out is the bracelet you made for out 25th anniversary … including the “lost art” book that tells our story. As we have passed our 55 anniversary I thought it best to once again wish you a very happy birthday."
Thank you George,
Ted and Pam

We have a wide selection of our work on FaceBook. Some pieces are shown in various stages of completion. When we do a special piece for a customer we often send them image of waxes. This makes it easier for them to understand what we are doing. It also allows us to work together and insure the creation of something special: https://www.facebook.com/Postgate-Fine-Jewelers-111540785537658/photos/?view_public_for=111540785537658&ref=page_internal
