Giants causeway diamond ring, This ring's setting was inspired by the rock formations in northern Ireland that almost form a land bridge to Scotland. I think of pieces like this one, as geologically inspired. There are so many unusual natural rock formations in the world that are beautiful as well as mysterious. The "Giants Causeway is one of my favorites because of its beauty and mystery. I made the ring for a customer over 38 years ago. He recently moved to a city that is nearby and contacted me requesting an updated appraisal for his insurance. I was overjoyed to see the ring again. It is one of my pieces that appears in my thoughts fairly often. It is so beautifully dimensional and full of scintillation!

The ring is fairly heavy ( 0.86 troy ounces ) it is set with four European cut diamonds with a combined weight of 2.53cts. The ring was designed by George as a custom designed ring for his customers' diamonds. It was carved in wax and then cast and finished in 18K gold.    About half of our jewelry is custom ordered. We're amazed by how many different types of designs we get to work with.
