Bushido Pendant in gold and silver by George Postgate

Bushido Pendant in 18K gold and Sterling silver by George Postgate. https://postgatejewelers.com

The Bushido Pendant in gold and silver was commissioned for a very special man by his wife. I got to know them a bit when I made their wedding rings a while back. Bushido or "the code of the warrior" is a tradition that he takes very seriously. He is an air rescue paramedic. The tenents of the code are: 1 Justice, 2 Courage, 3 Compassion, 4 Respect, Integrity, 5 Honor, 6 Loyalty, 7 Self Control. It is a privilege to get to make special pieces for such great people and to remember that such people are always ready to protect us at the risk of their own. Bushido Pendant in gold and silver: Details:

Bushido Pendant in gold and silver is made of Sterling silver with Japanese characters in 18K gold. A solid liquid oval swirl of silver forms this nice solid piece. It is a bit less than 1.5" tall, not including its articulated bale. The branches of a special tree fill the oval's center. The branches are arranged and in a very traditional Japanese Buddhist style.  An 18K gold" Shodo" style "Bushido" floats in the pendant's center, over the branches and leaves.

Face Book:

We have a wide selection of our work on FaceBook. Some pieces are shown in various stages of completion. When we do a special piece for a customer we often send them image of waxes. This makes it easier for them to understand what we are doing. It also allows us to work together and insure the creation of something special: https://www.facebook.com/Postgate-Fine-Jewelers-111540785537658/photos/?view_public_for=111540785537658&ref=page_internal
