Man's Bull Ring by George Postgate
The Man's bull ring is shown in wax as well as partly finished in white and yellow gold.
I apologize for the quality of the images, they were taken with my cell phone. better images will come once I've finished the ring.
This is a good example of a special order and how it can progress. My customer wanted a special ring with a bulls head in it as well as several other design elements that will fill the recesses on either side of the ring. It will be a while before I've worked out those details, and so, I'll leave them as a mystery for now.
My customer really liked the Bulls head that I made, but it is very three dimensional. Placing it into the ring meant cutting the head as short as possible without loosing important details or I needed to create a new setting design that will be dynamic and masculine, yet tall enough to protect the head as well as keep its horns from snagging. This setting will be able to do that easily and, it will also be easy to wear. The ring's edges have been made slightly rounded and the sides of the ring are also angled to make the ring comfortable. I'll post more images when it is finished. I hope that you enjoy these and the other images to come, Thanks.
