The Dancing White Rabbits Pendant with black opal is an original hand made design by George Postgate who also created it. It is made in 14K yellow gold. The rabbits are made in 14D palladium white gold. The chain is not included. If you need a chain we can provide you with a great selection of styles and lengths. The opal is natural and solid, it weighs about, 0.86 cts. It is from Lightning Ridge Australia. This is considered to be the source of the finest black opals in the world. This stone is particularly special because it displays two of the most beautiful types of opal patterns. The side of the opal facing out has flashing and changing veils of colors. Just about any color that appears in any opal can be seen in this stone.The ” back ” of the stone shows a “pin fire” pattern of colors which is also one of the most beautiful displays found in these stones. Deciding upon the side to face out must have been a hard decision for its cutter!
The stones in the flowers centers are 1.5mm natural faceted sapphires The diamonds are 6 X 1.5mm and one 1.7 mm in size ( Vs2 G-H ).
