Sapphire Dragon Earrings in 14 K set with a pair of very nice natural, blue brilliant cut sapphires. The dragons are approximately 22 mm long and are original designs by George Postgate who also created them. They hang from 14 K gold lever-backs. Finely detailed, the pair of dragons seem animated.
Our dragons were hand carved in wax and then cast in 14k yellow gold. Each dragon is clutching a brilliant cut sapphire. The dragons are complete with scales, wings, and teeth; all nicely detailed. They are similar to each other but not identical, sculpted in different poses and symmetrically oriented. You will get compliments and questions about them as they flutter under your ears. They are so detailed that they seem to move by themselves. I’ve made this very animated pair for our dragon loving friends. We think of them as personal dragon advisers who will offer sage advise to their wearer.
