Mermaids Grotto Opal ring,I guess that it's Mermaid season? Here is an updated version of an original Mermaid ring that I designed in 1974?. The grotto is home to a few creatures that I will allow you to discover for yourself. Originally the ring was cast in just one color of gold and the sides of the ring were smooth. I've set a very unusual gold Ethiopian opal emerging from a bed of coral, in this ring that just explodes with color. No wonder it has the Mermaid captivated. Mermaids Grotto Opal ring: Details

Mermaids Grotto Opal ring, designed to amaze and delight. The 14D white gold mermaid is all of 15mm long or just shy of 5/8." The opal she is admireing is a natural Eithiopian lemon yellow opal. I can't say enough about how colorful the opal is greens, reds and other colors roll across it constantly as the ring moves. The ring's body is 14k yellow gold. I've carved a design of flowing curves and other shapes to suggest flowing water in its sides. This is the only one to have the scrolling so it is a one of a kind. I hope to make a similar design on furure versions. The ring is only a bit less than 1/4" tall so it is easy to wear and enjoy.

This ring is a size 6.5.
