Lacy Tree of Life band diamonds and sapphires in 18K by George Postgate
Lacy Tree of Life band: This band is sculpted in a design derived from the Celtic "Tree Of Life" the continuous journey of life and renewal. This is similar to the philosophy underlying the Celtic knot as well, a love of nature portrayed as art. My first exposure to this was as a calligrapher. The tree of life became the curvilinear design that decorated the borders of ancient manuscripts. It is one of the things that I enjoyed most when studying them. The band was designed and made by George Postgate. It was carved first in wax and then in the metal. The band is set with 21 small fully cut diamonds and sapphires. Smooth bezels, and semi bezels form the settings. The diamonds range in size from 1.3mm to 2mm and are approximately VS2 in clarity and G – H in color. The sapphires are all very nice natural faceted stones. All of the band’s surfaces are rounded and smooth. Openings in the scrolls of gold allow the skin to breath. The inside of the band is slightly concave helping to hold the band in place without its having to be too tight. This is a very comfortable band. The Price of the band as shown priced in 2019, is: $3500.00 in most sizes. The band is 10mm wide. You may order lacy tree of life band in almost any size.
