Celtic black opal pendant designed and made by George Postgate. This pendant was made using traditional techniques, It was first hand carved, and built up in wax, into the form of a gold Celtic knot that George designed. He then cast the pendant in 14K yellow gold. If you would like to know more about waxes and the pieces that we've created please follow this link:Â https://postgatejewelers.com/waxes/ Â I've named this design "The Circle of Eternity" because the cycle of life, birth, death and rebirth, as well as the seasons of the year, were thought of in terms of endless cycles with no beginnings nor ends. Celtic knot designs hold true to these beliefs and have no beginnings or ends and each thread is balanced and equal in its over and under crossings.

The Celtic black opal pendant is slightly less than 1″ in width or about 23mm and about 1 3/8″ tall or 34mm. We have listed this piece without a chain but we will add a very fine quality Italian chain in the length and almost any link style, to the pendant at a good price. Just let us know and we will add the chain’s price to the pendant’s so that you can order both complete. The stone is a very beautiful and rare oval natural black opal that weighs approximately 0.62cts. The opal is a fine black opal from Lightning ridge Australia.
