I’m sure that a little investigation would show that the design was familiar to other ancient civilizations as well. The clasping hands design can express love or friendship. Celtic Clasping Hands Band, Details:

This band is a size 6 1/2 it is 9mm wide. The Celtic knot-work and the clasping hands were hand carved in wax and cast in 18K gold. The borders of the band are in 14K ( 14D) white gold. They rise just high enough to protect the band’s details so that it will last for many years. Perhaps it will become a family treasure? The borders are nicely rounded to make the band very comfortable to wear.This ring makes a beautiful wedding band or friendship band. I can make the design in other colors and qualities of gold in just about any size.
