Luckenbooth Ruby 18K ring stones:
A natural oval faceted ruby that weighs approximately 0.48cts. is the star of the ring. I could also call the stone a pink sapphire since the only difference between rubies and sapphires is color. This stone seems to be on the border between the stones. If you turn the stone this way it looks a bit pink, a bit the other way and it looks red with a pinch of purple, either way the stone is very beautiful!
Three SI1 clarity brilliant cut diamonds are set in the ring’s crown,they are approximately G – H,color and 0.12 cts in total weight

These brooches were later endowed with many powers like keeping fairies from stealing babies and keeping lovers faithful. The brooches became even more meaningful and popular, when one was given to Mary Queen of Scots as a token of love.
