Small Opal Luckenbooth Pendant in Sterling silver by Suzan
The small opal Luckenbooth pendant is a new addition to the many Luckenbooth pins, pendants, and rings that we make. Luckenbooths are one of the most loved and storied traditional Scottish forms of jewelry. They have usually been made in the form of brooches but now rings and pendants are also popular. Details:
The small opal Luckenbooth pendant is about 1 1/4" X 3/4" in size. The pendant is made of Sterling silver and is very three dimensional. An 18" chain is included with the pendant. A crown on top of the pendant's hearts has two very colorful opals set in it. The opals are from Ethiopia and are a type of opal that is called crystal opal. Stones like these were very rare until their discovery in Ethiopia several years ago. The opals look like transparent drops of honey with bright colors floating and flashing within them. It amazes me just how bright these stones are, they are as bright as leds in some conditions.

You may order Suzan's small opal Luckenbooth pendant with a chain of almost any length or link style. She can also make a version in 14K, 18K, 22K in rose, white and yellow gold. She will also set just about any type of stones that you might want in the crown. Small stones can also be set into the hearts as well. We have a page that explains more about custom orders.
