Dragon Peridot Pendant in Sterling silver with emerald eyes, an original design by George Postgate
Dragon Peridot Pendant was designed and hand made in Sterling silver by George. This pendant is based upon European dragons that are shown in modern and ancient art. I wanted this to be the nicest you will see that you can own yourself. I've given this piece my very best. It is an honor to get to make pieces like this dragon. This is a dragon that is beautiful, fierce, and noble. The pendant is the largest that I make. It is 3 1/4" tall X 3" wide. This unusual pendant is perfect for a posh gathering, or worn with pride at a Renaissance fair. I will make very few of these. Oxidation
This pendant is in bright silver. It will oxidize in time and its details will become more defined. We will also oxidize it for you and you can specify as to whether you would like a lighter or heavier ( darker ) finish. This will occur naturally, it can be controlled by lightly rubbing the detail that you want bright with a soft clean cloth from time to time. I recommend a polishing cloth. The recessed areas will darken while the raised parts of the design will stay bright.
Dragon Peridot Pendant Details:
This is a very detailed pendant. It is also very dimensional, the frame of the pendant is about 3 1/4″ tall by 3″ wide by 1″ deep. An 18″ 4mm Byzantine link Sterling silver chain comes with the pendant. A dragon occupies the center of the frame, it is in the style of classic European dragons as well as the Welsh dragon. The pendant’s frame is set with four natural faceted peridots. They range in size from approximately 7.2 mm X 5 mm, to 5.5 mm X 4 mm in size, and are a fine medium peridot green color. Small, approximately 2mm natural faceted Columbian emeralds are the dragon’s eyes. The small emeralds are an intense, bright, green. This pendant was sculpted in wax and then cast in silver. Custom orders:
You may order the Dragon Peridot Pendant in almost any size. It is available in 14 K, 18 K, 22 K and in 14 K rose, white and yellow gold as well as in sterling silver. The pendant is also a great design for small stones that can be set in the spaces surrounding the dragon. If I had had some opals that fit the frame when I made it, I would have used small opals like stars. I still might? I can make the pendant with other stones. It would look great with amethysts, garnets, or citrines. I can also see it with moonstone cabs or emeralds and gold?? We have a page that explains more about custom orders.
