Suzan and I love the little cottages in The UK that have thatched roofs. One of her distant cousins built many in Carmel Ca. many years ago, they have become an important part of that town’s charm that keeps people coming.We are among the people who wish that their homes looked like this, so she has made this little pendant for us.

Suzan carved her cottage in wax first and then cast it in sterling silver. She oxidized it next and then lightly polished it so that there is a nice contrast between its polished and oxidized surfaces. The pendant is about 30 X 24 mm in size, a small faceted amethyst is also set in the pendant.
