Ruby Avalon Mists Band in 18K, A larger version of the petite version of the band. I began wanting to make a larger sized version with larger stones, soon after making the petite band.  The design was inspired by the Arthurian legends. The swirls of gold invoke the magic that I feel must have been present in the mists surrounding this fabled island.

Ruby Avalon Mists Band in 18K, A larger version of the petite version of the band. I began wanting to make a larger sized version with larger stones, soon after making the petite band.  The design was inspired by the Arthurian legends. The swirls of gold invoke the magic that I feel must have been present in the mists surrounding this fabled island. The settings for the rubies are very smooth and the edges of the band are well rounded. This makes the ring very comfortable to wear. Since the settings are smooth bezel types they have no prongs or other parts that will snag on friends, cloths or family. The ring will slide easily in and out of pockets or gloves.

Ruby Avalon Mists Band in 18K, Details:

This is an original design by George who hand carved it in wax, and then re-carved it after it was cast, in gold. The design represents the nexus of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. I’ve set 1.34cts total weight of very fine natural rubies in this ring. Some of the rubies have a few flaws but nothing that detracts from their beauty. The stones are natural and untreated. The color of the rubies is my personal favorite. The color is deep without being too dark. The band is approximately 11mm wide.
